General Duties:
The Museum Paleontology Assistant is responsible for developing paleontology exhibits and educational materials in the Garth & Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History, liaising with paleontologists at the Bureau of Land Management, preparing newly acquisitioned fossil specimens, and other duties as assigned. A qualified candidate will have a background in biology and geology as well as deep interests in museum studies and paleontology. Other responsibilities will include assisting with collection preservation and care.

Ideal candidates will be able to meet weekly with the museum director, but carry out work independently. Candidates must be responsible, independent, and punctual. Must be comfortable interacting with professionals at the Bureau of Land Management and translating paleontological science to the general public. Background in biology, geology, education, science, art, or museum studies is preferred.
